Kia Ora and Welcome

This is an invitation and call extending the length and breadth of Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally. Welcome and greetings to one and all!

The conference theme, Cultivating New Futures Together: Growth for Life expresses the belief that we must work together to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people who are blind, deafblind or have low vision. The Expanded Core Curriculum, as the body of knowledge and skills needed by all learners with vision impairment is recognised as central to the development of learning and skills for life.

Our shared responsibilities and aspirations are reflected in the Māori whakataukī (proverb), Poipoia te kākano kia puawai: Nurture the seed and it will blossom.

This conference provides an exciting opportunity to use our collective voices, skills and ideas to bring about new growth and learning.

Events like the SPEVI Conference are not possible without support from exhibitors and sponsors. Would you like to support the SPEVI 2023 Conference? More details coming soon!
